Abreu Construction Repair Methods
Method # 1. Strengthening of Structures:
i. Bonding steel plates externally:
The damaged structural member may be strengthened by bonding externally steel plates with chemicals or by bonding carbon fibre sheets externally with chemicals.
Method # 2. Repairs by Epoxy:
Apart from epoxy injection, repairs of cracks and damaged concrete structures with exposed reinforcing steel are done by epoxy mortar and epoxy concrete,

Method # 3. Repairs of Hair Cracks by Grouting:
The hairline cracks developed in the roof are to be cut in V-groove shape of 6 mm width and are to be filled with epoxy putty.
Method # 4. Epoxy Concrete:
Epoxy concrete is nowadays often used for repairing concrete members like roof, floor, columns, etc. The bond of the new concrete with the old surface is effective. The epoxy compound improves the quality of the concrete by increasing the tensile strength of the concrete and removing its general weaknesses.
Method # 5. Repairs of Floors:
A damaged floor was repaired by overlaying two coats of epoxy and then epoxies mortar and finally applying an epoxy coat.
Method # 6. Repairs of Columns:
The same treatment to columns up to the height affected by aggressive environment may also be carried out.

The same repair work can be better done by use of epoxy compound.
